It has been a magical year for the Captain Shreve baseball team, managed by Todd Sharp.

But, who knew this year would be the Gators' year to be on top?

Following a 12-3 victory for the Gators over the Parkway Panthers, Captain Shreve clinched at least a share of the District 1-5A title.

All the Gators had to do next was beat Parkway once again, this time at the Panthers' home field.

Todd Sharp's Gators were able to get the job done, with a close 6-5 victory.

The Gators clinch the District 1-5A title with an overall record of 22-8 and remain undefeated in District 1-5A at 12-0.

The Gators prepare to face off against their bitter rivals, the Byrd Yellow Jackets.

The Gators and Jackets will play on Friday at The Hive, Saturday night at The Swamp, and will play on Monday night once again at The Swamp.
