Twenty missed free throws, 23 turnovers and the top-seeded 3A team in the state still had a chance to win in the end. The Bossier boys lost Saturday to Carroll in the 3A semi-final 53-51 in triple overtime, one of several fantastic semi-final mathchups at the Century Link Center this weekend.

The Bearkats shot 7-27 from the free throw line and blew a seven point lead in the fourth quarter.

The 3A Boys final will be played Thursday in Monroe between #4 Carroll and #3 Farmerville, breaking Bossier's streak of appearing in state championship games.

On Friday, the 5A #1 Southwood Lady Cowboys had no problems getting past Denham Springs to make it to the state title tilt.  Southwood won 44-25 over Denham Springs and they will face #2 Natchitoches Central in Monroe on Saturday for the state championship.
