Southwood Ladies Advance to Semifinals — Girls Louisiana State Quarterfinal Results

The top seeded Southwood Lady Cowboys have advanced to the State 5A Semi-finals after beating New Iberia 50-42 on Monday.

The Shreveport Times quoted Southwood coach Steve McDowell as saying, "It was a tough game... we were only up two with under two minutes to play, but were able to pull away at the end."

The Lady Cowboys ended the game on a 6-0 run.  Southwood will play in the semi-final on Friday against #5 Denham Springs at the Century Link Center.
