Area Under Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm Watch
UPDATE
Tornado Watch until 7pm now includes all of Shreveport Bossier metro area.
The previous tornado watch included area south of I-20.
A tornado watch is in effect for a large part of the Arklatex until 7pm.

Also, a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for much of the Arklatex until 3pm Saturday afternoon.

There is a risk for severe storms across much of Four State Region today and into this evening. The main threat early will be large hail and damaging winds. However, the threat will increase during the afternoon during peak daytime heating. Tornadoes, large hail, damaging winds, and locally heavy rainfall will be possible. The severe weather threat should diminish by late this evening.
