It would appear that UL-Lafayette's football program just won the lottery.

The 2016 campaign would have been interesting under-center for the Ragin' Cajuns, but a former LSU starting quarterback has fallen in the lap of ULL. Anthony Jennings took snaps in over a dozen games over his LSU career, even starting the Outback Bowl and Music City Bowl for the Tigers.

Last year, Bossier City native, and Parkway alumni, Brandon Harris took over as the starting QB in Baton Rouge. Jennings did not start a single game last year, and made it known he was looking to transfer after graduation.

This was great news for a school who was looking for immediate relief at QB, which happened to fit with what ULL was looking at for 2016. Here's more from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Former LSU quarterback Anthony Jennings is officially a Ragin Cajun. UL-Lafayette announced Thursday that Jennings will be immediately eligible to play this fall as a graduate transfer.

Coach Mark Hudspeth said Jennings’ experience was a major draw as his current QB lineup do not have a single start between them. Jennings is slated to graduate from LSU in early August and still must get accepted into school."
