The LSU football program had a record weekend at the NFL draft, with nine players selected by NFL teams, the most ever in a single draft from LSU. The football program also had two players arrested over the weekend.

Former LSU cornerback Tharold Simon was arrested on Thursday and drafted in the fifth round on Saturday.

News broke on Saturday afternoon of freshman running back Jeremy Hill’s arrest early Saturday morning. Hill was charged with simple battery after an incident at a Baton Rouge bar.

Les Miles announced today that Hill has been indefinitely suspended from the team. Miles went on to say that he will not comment further on the incident until after the legal process has played out.

Hill is generally considered the best of a stable of good running backs on the LSU roster. He earned 150 touches as a freshman, gaining over 800 yards and scoring 12 touchdowns.
