Byrd Yellow Jackets vs. Natchitoches Chiefs Friday Night

On Friday, Nov. 9, the Yellow Jackets will battle the Chiefs in the Bi-district round of the Class 5A playoffs.

Byrd is the No. 15 seed while Natchitoches is the No. 18 seed. Kickoff for the opening round game is set for 7 p.m. at Lee Hedges Stadium.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE TEAMS
The Yellow Jackets finished the 2012 regular season with a 7-2 overall record and a 4-1 District 1-5A record.

Byrd captured a share of the District 1-5A title with a thrilling 31-30 win over Airline on sophomore kicker Jake Wyss’ 23-yard field goal.

Natchitoches Central finished the 2012 regular season with a 6-4 overall record and a 1-3 record in District 2-5A. The Chiefs finished the season on a three-game losing skid, including a 48-14 loss to West Monroe in the season finale.
