Who Will Lead This Year’s LSU Baseball Team?
Kramer Robertson is gone, Jared Poche has moved on, Greg Deichmann has left, Alex Lange is no longer in Baton Rouge...The LSU baseball program said goodbye to a lot of talent last season. But not just that, the team lost leaders.
But the reason that LSU Baseball is a legendary program is because they don't "rebuild", they "reload".
Even with the loss of talent and leadership, LSU isn't about to blink. They have players like Antoine Duplantis, Josh Smith, Zach Hess, and the guy that the Louisiana Radio Network tells you about here:
"LSU baseball season begins next week. For the Tigers to be successful in 2018, they need a solid year from starting third baseman Jake Slaughter. The former Ouachita Christian star had an up and down freshman campaign. LSU hitting coach Sean Ochinko says Slaughter can be a future major leaguer if he puts it all together."
