UPDATE: Package Outside Caddo Courthouse Detonated

Earlier this afternoon, an evacuation took place at the Caddo Courthouse in Downtown Shreveport after a "suspicious package" was discovered. Authorities shut down roads, and evacuated the Assessors Office.

The Bomb Squad deployed their bomb detonation robot to approach the package. The decision was made to detonate, and an explosion could be heard throughout the Downtown area.

Upon inspection, the package was simply a backpack, possibly belonging to a homeless individual. The contents of the bag were disposed of on-site into a simple trash can, which you can see below.
