Two Wrestlemania Legends are Coming to Shreveport this August

It's Wrestlemania weekend, which is already cause for celebration, but for wrestling fans in the Shreveport area, it's got some extra sauce on it. Because this year, two WWE Hall of Fame members, and Wrestlemania legends, are planning to visit Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, later this year.

So as all of our local pro wrestling fans are getting excited for Wrestlemania, they know they have even more to look forward to later this year. Because one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time, Trish Stratus, along with nWo founder Kevin Nash are coming to town.

Trish Stratus has appeared in 5 Wrestlemania matches, which is the most ever for a female wrestler (tied with Mickie James). Her record at Mania is 3-2, including a title win at Wrestlemania XIX, a title defense at Wrestlemania 21, and a title loss at Wrestlemania 22.

Kevin Nash has a 1-1 record at Wrestlemania, including a WWF Championship win over Shawn Michales (where Pam Anderson joined Nash at ringside), but he finds his place in the history books for a match at Wrestlemania 12:

Nash lost to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 12, making him #5 on "The Streak", which was The Undertaker's history undefeated streak at Wrestlemanias.

In addition to his matches, Nash appeared at other Manias, like Wrestlemania X8 where he was joined by nWo members Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan. That night, Nash was involved with Scott Hall's match with Stone Cold Steve Austin, as well as the aftermath of the match between Hulk Hogan and The Rock. Putting him in the mix directly with the three biggest names in pro wrestling history in one night (The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Hulk Hogan).

Both of these legends will be appearing at Geek'd Con this August in Downtown Shreveport. Geek'd Con is Shreveport's comic con, and will be taking place August 16-18, 2019, at the Shreveport Convention Center.
