Tropical Storm Lee is nearing landfall along the Louisiana coast and the center of circulation should come ashore later today.

Heavy rain and gusty winds are impacting the northern Gulf Coast from the western Florida Panhandle to Louisiana. Isolated tornadoes will continue to be possible as well.

Power outages have been reported in Louisiana and winds have gusted to near 60 mph in the New Orleans metro area. A storm surge of 4 feet has been reported in Shell Beach, La. A surge height of 2 feet has been reported as far east as Pascagoula, Miss.

Lee will continue to move slowly over southern Louisiana on Sunday or even early Monday before shifting inland into the Southeast. Most likely, Lee will remain a tropical storm until landfall.
