Tropical Storm Lee has resumed a northward drift toward the Louisiana Coast.
Bands of heavy rain continue to stream ashore from extreme eastern Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle. Soaking rain is also wrapping around the circulation in central and western Louisiana. Isolated tornadoes will continue to be possible as well.

Power outages have been reported in Louisiana and winds have gusted to near 60 mph in the New Orleans metro area. A storm surge of 4 feet has been reported in Shell Beach, La. A surge height of 2 feet has been reported as far east as Pascagoula, Miss. Minor flooding of streets and a few homes has been reported in parts of the city of New Orleans.
Lee's center of circulation will continue to move slowly over southern Louisiana on Sunday before shifting into Mississippi and Alabama Monday and Tuesday. Most likely, Lee will remain a tropical storm until landfall.
