Last week, Bossier Parish quarterbacks were in the spotlight when Parkway's Brandon Harris led LSU against Mississippi State and Haughton's Dak Prescott.

Saturday in Starkville, the spotlight again shines on Haughton---but the light is a little brighter. Both starting quarterbacks in the matchup between Mississippi State and visiting Northwestern State are former Buccaneers. NSU head coach Jay Thomas announced Wednesday that J.D. Almond will get the start for the Demons after the ex-Buc played well in the late stages of Saturday's loss to ULL.

Almond took over as the Haughton QB after Prescott graduated.
