It all comes down to this in the North American Hockey League South Division Semifinals. The Shreveport Mudbugs will host the El Paso Rhinos tonight in Shreveport for a series deciding Game 5. Whoever wins moves on in the NAHL Playoffs, and the loser will see their season end.

That means Monday night hockey in Shreveport.

The Mudbugs came into this series as the #2 seed in the South Division, while El Paso has the #3 seed. That's why the deciding game will be played here in Shreveport.

In the first game of the series, the Mudbugs won 4-2 on home ice in Shreveport. But the following night was one of the craziest games in recent Mudbugs' history, as El Paso tied the game up 2-2 with time running out in the 3rd period. Then they were able to beat the Bugs 3-2 in a marathon 4 overtime game.

The series shifted to El Paso for game 3, and the Mudbugs won 3-2. Saturday night brough on game 4, where the Mudbugs could close out the series. But the Rhinos ended up defending their home ice, and extending the season with a 3-1 win. Sending the series back to Shreveport for tonight's game.

Tickets will be available at the door at George's Pond inside Hirsch Coliseum.

The Shreveport Mudbugs hockey organization has raised more banners in Shreveport than any other franchise. From the WPHL to the CHL, and now the North American Hockey League (NAHL), the Bugs have tons of banners hanging over their ice. This has made them one of, if not the, most successful sports franchises in Shreveport.
