The Texas Rangers are now just a half-game behind the American League West leading Houston Astros after taking a 5-3 decision at home over the 'Stros last night.  In game one of a pivotal four-game series pitting the two front-runners, Prince Fielder delivered the big blast. In the 8th inning, with the game tied 3-all, Fielder crushed a 408 foot blast to snap a 46 at-bat homer-less streak, driving home Adrian Beltre in the process for the go-ahead runs.

Houston's road woes continue to bite them in the Astros... they are 2-5 on their current 11-game trip and a major league worst 29-43 on the road this year.
