Tim Fletcher: Former Ruston Head Coaching Legend Passes

Former Ruston High head coaching legend, Chick Childress passed away Sunday at the Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston.  Childress led the Bearcats to Class 4A state championships in 1982, 1986, 1988 and 1990 with a national championship accompanying the last of the four titles.

In all, Childress played on one state championship, assisted Neville during four title runs along with the four in Ruston.
