Things You Need To Know For Saturday’s Paul McCartney Show In Bossier
This weekend is a milestone for the Shreveport/Bossier area. Sir Paul McCartney is coming to town for a once-in-a-lifetime show.
Sure, Elvis has played Shreveport. Robert Plant has come to town. But this is Paul McCartney...arguably the greatest living musician on the planet. At least the most influential. So with a show this big, you know there are going to be some extra cautions.
The list of banned items doesn't seem to be any more strict than normal, of course no backpacks, luggage, or video cameras. But do note the purse sizes must be under 6"x9", and they are very strict on this point. Also, even if you have a permit, no guns allowed inside. We're still happy to see "selfie sticks" are singled out too.
There's another point to be aware of on this sheet, the start time. Unlike many concerts, this one will not wait for dusk to start. On a Bossier summer night, 8pm will be drenched in sunshine outside. Which means we have an extra concern...if you plan to stand in line, make sure you have sun protection. Maybe just a couple dabs of sunblock, or a hat of some kind, because you're probably not going to be able to haul an umbrella inside (probably).
