Tebow Leaves Denver for New York, Jets that is!

Tebowmania is getting ready to hit New York now that Tim Tebow has been traded to the Jets.   No sooner does Peyton Manning drop down in Denver  after inking a $96 million deal, than Tebow is out of the Bronco uniform in favor of Green and White.

I'm glad Tebow will be quarterback for the Jets because I've liked the Jets since Joe Namath played for them in the 70s, and I'm hoping to see a Tim Tebow who will look a lot like Namath.

The Jets can definitely use the injection after losing out to the Giants.  But, it will be interesting to see Tebow facing his new arch rival, Eli Manning. What is it with the Mannings? They're always on the top of the  NFL's list as someone to be reckoned with.

For Tebow, it came down as a choice between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Jets.  Some thought he would choose Jacksonville since he's from Florida, but I'm glad he's chosen New York.  It seems more sexy for some reason. Maybe I'm remembering the "Broadway Joe Namath" days.

Here's wishing Tebow all the success Namath had, only I hope his knees are in better shape than Namath's when he retires from the NFL.

And, yes! I still think Peyton Manning's $96 million salary is way too much, and I'd be interested in seeing if he really is worth that much, especially with all the injuries he's had.
