Shreveport Native and Alabama Football Player Enters Transfer Portal
One of the best high school football players in recent Shreveport history has announced he's leaving his current college team.
When Kendrick Law was being recruited to play college football at Captain Shreve High School, he was ranked as the 5th best prospect in the entire state of Louisiana. In the 2022 recruiting class, he was not just considered to be one of the best in Louisiana, but he was also rated as the 3 best Athlete in the class nationwide.
It was no wonder that teams from all over the country were trying to persuade Law to join their programs. Programs like LSU, Texas, Florida State, Arkansas, Auburn, and more were all trying to earn Law's commitment. But it was the greatest college football coach of all time (be honest) that was able to secure his commitment. The coach that secured the commitment was Nick Saban, while he was at Alabama.
But Saban is no longer at Alabama, and after a season without him leading the program, Law is now looking for a change of scenery. He's announced that he will be entering the transfer portal, and will find a new place to play.
When Law arrived at Alabama, he was situated into a role as a wide receiver. Over his three seasons with the Crimson Tide, he accumulated 33 catches for 343 yards. He scored his only touchdown of his career this season against Western Kentucky.
Law wasn't the only Alabama player to announce they're entering the portal. Fellow receiver Caleb Odom and offensive lineman Miles McVay have also announced they plan to leave.
