With the regular season winding down, the Shreveport Mudbugs are looking to stay hot.

With the arrival of the State Fair of Louisiana, we haven't had as many Mudbugs games lately, but that all changes this weekend. Despite the fair rolling along full-speed ahead, the Mudbugs will be hosting two home games this weekend at George's Pond inside the historic Hirsch Memorial Coliseum.

Of course, the fair will change things for fans planning on attending this weekend's games. The 'Bugs have announced a new parking plan and route, making it easy for 'Bugs fans to park near the arena despite the hoopla going on at the fairgrounds. I'll post that parking graphic below.

The NAHL playoffs are now just a few short weeks away, and in the world of hockey, it's all about momentum. Teams want to hit their stride just as the playoffs approach, and the Mudbugs have been doing that lately, stacking wins and sweeps routinely as the season winds down.

They'll take on their rivals in the south division, the Amarillo Bulls, this Friday and Saturday night. Simply put, when these two teams take the ice against each other, there will always be fireworks. While their rivalry hasn't always been this intense, there's always fireworks this season.
