Kelly Clarkson is well into her 2012 Stronger Tour, and last night (April 3) she took the stage at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater with several of her musical celebrity friends. Those joining the ‘Idol’ star onstage included country greats Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton.

McEntire and Clarkson brought the excited crowd a duet of ‘Because of You.’ Blake Shelton, who invited Clarkson on as one of his celebrity mentors for this season of ‘The Voice,’ replaced Jason Aldean in the multi-ACM Award-winning collaboration ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay.’ Others who took the stage with Clarkson included fellow ‘Idol’ season 1 contestant Tamyra Gray and Michelle Branch, who performed her Wreckers hit ‘Leave the Pieces.’

Before Shelton took the stage to replace the usual hologram of Aldean on the fan favorite, Clarkson introduced her pal by saying, “I love him. He is so freaking awesome. I love his music. I love his cursing. I love how he messes with people all the time.” By the time she mentioned ‘The Voice,’ the crowd went crazy, and you can’t hear anything else Clarkson says in the below clip.

Shelton then emerged looking dapper in his jeans, vest and tie, and the two seem to have a total blast on the song, hamming it up and overdramatizing it just for kicks. They look more like they’re singing karaoke than offering up a performance to an entire arena (partially because the sound on the video isn’t great), but that’s exactly what makes them so totally hilarious and likable in the first place.
