Blake Shelton is Suing In Touch Weekly for Recent Story About his Divorce
Blake Shelton's lawsuit could cost the tabloid a pretty penny.
According to In Touch Weekly, Blake Shelton's marriage to Miranda Lambert came to an end due to his out-of-control drinking, partying and womanizing. In addition, he has hit rock bottom.
Blake says that is false.
To make matters worse, it was the cover story for the issue. He has since filed a defamation lawsuit and is asking for more than $1 million in damages. He has also requested an injunction that will prevent any repeats of the allegations.
This story may have been the straw that broke the camel's back as Blake has brushed off countless tabloid stories. This one claimed that Blake had been caught by Miranda with "a bunch of naked women" in their home, consistently drank vodka before noon and that his friends were worried that he would end up dead soon.
His lawsuit says that he has had enough, has not hit rock bottom and has no plans of going to, nor has he ever been in rehab. He also says that he reached out for a refraction, but never heard back.
It makes you wonder how people can get away with writing stuff like this and playing it off like it's truth.
