Personal Foul: Replacement Official PULLED For Being A Saints Fan
Going into Sunday's New Orleans Saints-Carolina Panthers game, NFL replacement official Brian Stropolo was reasonably excited.
He has the rare oppurtunity to officiate a game that includes a team he's a huge fan of. The Saints.
This is a dream for Stropolo, a New Orleans native, who's Facebook profile includes pictures of him in Saints gear and tailgating at numerous home games.
Due to his allegiance for Who Dat Nation, the NFL told Stropolo he couldn't officiate Sunday's game.
NFL offices in New York received numerous voice messages and e-mails regarding Stropolo's fandom of the Saints.
The NFL, who made this decision just hours before kickoff brought in fellow replacement official Tim Keese.
Is it right to pull a referree just because he shows allegiance to a team on his Facebook page?
