Think maybe you might have just a little left over in the "jogging tank" and you'd like to help put a smile on hundreds of local kids' faces?  We've got just the way you can do it with the first ever "Operation Santa Claus 5K!"

As you well know, Operation Santa Claus provides hundreds, if not thousands, of toys each year for local children Caddo and Bossier parish.  Of course, it takes a lot of money each year to pull this off and we're hoping you'll help out with this fundraiser 5K!  We'll even have a kids’ half mile fun run!

The first ever Operation Santa Claus 5K will be Sunday, October 5th beginning at the LSUS campus on the East Kings Highway side.

The kids fun run will begin at 2:00 pm and the 5K will start at 2:15 pm.

After the races there will be an awards ceremony followed by music, bounce houses, face painting and Elsa from Frozen and Captain America will be there for the kids. It’s a family event so bring the whole family and dress up as an elf, Santa, Mrs. Claus or just come in your, funniest Christmas outfit. It’s a great way to support Operation Santa Claus’ effort to put a smile on the faces of hundreds of local kids.
