Beginning next week, we'll be out collecting toys for Shreveport's less fortunate kids here at Christmas

The Krewe of Centaur is known for being active in the community, but this time they've truly knocked it out of the park for local Shreveport kids!

It won't be long and we'll be out in the streets of Shreveport/Bossier collecting toys for local, less fortunate kids and we're hoping you'll help.

We're collecting toys for local area kids and we need your help!

In many cases the Operation Santa Claus gifts are the only gifts that these children receive. If you want to donate and unwrapped toy you can do so over the course of the next couple weeks.

Whether you run, walk or crawl, Operation Santa Claus is hoping you'll join us Saturday, September 10, for the Operation Santa Claus 5K Run.

Bossier sheriff's deputies, along with Shreveport police officers and firefighters, will join Santa Claus at Shriners Hospital for the 'Barney Cannon Smile Run.'
