Medical Students Against Addiction, also known as MSAA, is a group made up of medical students at LSU Health Science Center-Shreveport Medical School under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Goeders, the founder of the non-profit organization, Loving Solutions. Loving Solutions works to help women recover from methamphetamine addiction in a special home safe from triggers.

MSAA, in conjunction with Sportspectrum, are putting on their 1st annual 'Race for Recovery 5K: Making Moves Against Meth' Saturday, April 19, 2018 at 6:30pm. The race will take place at the frisbee golf course along Clyde Fant Parkway in Shreveport. The event is meant to raise awareness with regard to methamphetamine abuse in our community and proceeds will benefit Loving Solutions, aiding in the final touches for the recovery home and to help offset living expenses for those housed there during their recovery.

Registration prior to race day is $20. Race day registration is $25.
