The top ranked LSU Tigers won their sixth in a row by holding off a late rally from Northwestern State to win 9-6 Wednesday night in Baton Rouge. The Tigers have four more games left in their six game homestand including three this weekend with Auburn.

The Demon baseball team put up a season high 13 runs and 17 hits en route to shutting out Mississippi Valley State at Brown-Stroud Field in Natchitoches.
Airline and Evangel will be sending student-athletes to Northwestern State as part of the 2015 class of recruits but head Coach Jay Thomas was able to sign kids from as far away as California and a quarterback from Oklahoma.
