The Northwestern State Demon football program may not be in the best of places right now. They've had a few tough seasons recently, but fans still love their team.
Part of the reason that fans still love the program is the history that comes with it. It's a historic program, that dates all the way back to 1907. It's also a program that has won multiple conference championships in its history. But maybe the biggest thing the program has to its credit, is what the players do when they leave the program.
There are many Demon football alumni who have gone on to incredible professional careers...there are football players too. Really though, a lot of players who have worn the purple of the demons have become tremendous community leaders, professionals in fields that contribute to the greater good, and just really good people. Its a program with a great reputation for the kind of person that graduates.
On the field, there have been some really good players too. The highest quality player you can find. The kind who becomes of the of the best in the world.
How would you measure if you're one of the best football players in the world? You find success in the NFL. But not just success, you do something like become an All Pro, or win a Super Bowl. There have been Demons who have gone on to do both.
