Chris Bosh, Miami Heat forward called chairman Jerry Colangelo and men's national team coach Mike Krzyzewski this (Friday) morning telling them he won't be able to play for Team USA at the London Olympics July 27-Aug. 12.

The bad news is because of a lower abdominal strain. It happened while Bosh was playing against the Indiana Pacers May 13 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Bosh said his doctor's advice was to rest the abdominals. If he re-injures it, it could become a reoccurring injury.

Team USA has been hit by a string of serious injuries to the NBA's best players in this Olympic year.

USA Basketball has since lost six key players to injury: Chauncey Billups, LaMarcus Aldridge, Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard and now Wade and Bosh.
