Member Of Byrd High Football Staff Arrested For Child Porn

A Caddo Parish School Board employee has been arrested and charged with Pornography Involving a Juvenile.

33-year-old James Allen Opie of Shreveport was arrested by Shreveport Police, with assistance from the FBI. In the police report, his home on Akard Ave was described as the "location of offense".

Opie has been an employee of Caddo Parish schools since 2010, and the school board has announced that Opie has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation takes place.

In addition to being a Caddo Schools employee, Opie is also a member of the Byrd High School Football coaching staff.

Opie's initial bond at the Caddo Correctional Center was set at $100,000.
