Some of country music’s  newer stars came together to help a good cause this Labor Day.

Performing on the MDA Labor Day Telethon this weekend were Martina McBride, Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker.

“So glad to be here at the Grand Ole Opry on such a special night,” McBride said as she opened the show, adding, “I want to invite you all to make a muscle and make a difference,” which enticed the audience to show her their muscles.

The MDA Labor Day Telethon raised $61.5 million last night alone. Of course Jerry Lewis was absent. He led the telethon from 1966 until 2010.

We missed seeing you this year Jerry!
