Former major league headcase Manny Ramirez is scheduled to arrive in Taiwan on Monday and sign a contract to play with the EDA Rhinos in the China Professional Baseball League, his agent said. No terms have been disclosed.

Ramirez, 40, played in the Oakland A's organization last spring, where he served a 50-game suspension for his 2011 violation of MLB's drug policy while with Tampa Bay. He became a free agent when the A's did not recall him by mid-season. Ramirez further honed his swing by playing winter ball in the Dominican Republic this off-season.

In 19 major league seasons, the colorful Ramirez hit .312 with 555 homers and 1,831 RBIs. He received two suspensions for MLB drug policy violations.
