The 2019 College Football Playoff is set, and LSU has resumed their rightful place at number 1.

LSU will now play Oklahoma for a chance to play in the College Football National Championship.

Earlier this season, LSU held the #1 overall position, before being bumped by Ohio State. However, after Ohio State was behind to Wisconsin at halftime of the Big Ten Championship Game, and LSU's dominant win over Georgia in the SEC Championship game, LSU was able to jump Ohio State to take their top spot once again.

This will be LSU's first appearance in the College Football Playoff.

The LSU vs Oklahoma game will be the Peach Bowl, which will be played in the same stadium LSU just won their SEC Championship in. The game is 12/28 at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The other side of the bracket puts Ohio State against Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl. The game will be the same day as the Peach Bowl. The winners of the two games will face each other Monday, January 13th at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
