LSU Tigers football players Cleveland Davis, Dexter Alexander, and Allen Buniger spent part of the day with the children at the Guardian Angels Day Care Summer Camp.

They spoke to the children about the challenges of being a student-athlete at LSU and working hard to achieve your goals.

The campers were decked out in their purple and gold to welcome the 3 LSU Tigers to their LSU themed play room. The kids threw the football around with the guys and took pictures.

"I visited the summer camp today because I love meeting with young kids," Buniger said. "It's important for them to hear this message at an early age because they can really make a difference as they grow up in this community. I loved seeing them smile when we walked in the room, and it was nice to be able to interact with them today."

The LSU football team will start the 2012 season against North Texas on September 1 at Tiger Stadium.
