LSU Baseball Moves up to Number 1 Ranking, Nola Honored

The LSU baseball team picked up three wins over the weekend, including victories over Virginia Tech, Toledo, and a 4-1 win over Texas Southern on Sunday.

The Tigers are now 7-0 and have moved up to the number one ranking in Collegiate Baseball Magazine's Top 30.

LSU pitcher Aaron Nola earned National Player of the Week honors Monday from Collegiate Baseball Magazine after posting seven hit-less innings against Virginia Tech on Friday. The junior right-hander came out of the game due to a pitch count restriction.

Nola is 2-0 with no earned runs in 13 innings this season.

LSU baseball takes on Louisiana Lafayette tomorrow night, first pitch at 6:30 on 1130 the Tiger.
