LSU Baseball Looks To Build Off Successful 2017
LSU Baseball started last season with the #3 Coaches Ranking in College Baseball, and ended the year living up to that hype, with a runner-up finish in the College World Series. It's never a good feeling to lose your last game of a season, and it hurts even worse when it's a championship game, but once you can sit back and reflect, it doesn't appear that bad.
Last year was a successful season. Period.
So the Tigers are looking to get things rolling again this year, with a little less pre-season hype. The Tigers aren't even picked to be Top-3 in the SEC West by the coaches to start this season. So if a team with this kind of ranking finishes as the national runner-up, how will you feel about that? Pretty damn good right?
Here's more on the preseason ranking from the Louisiana Radio Network:
"LSU baseball has been picked to finish fourth in the SEC West in a preseason poll of the coaches. Arkansas is the favorite to win the West, followed by Texas A-and-M and Ole Miss."
