The No. 2 LSU Tigers baseball team killed No. 7 Kentucky, winning 11-4 on Sunday continuing with their best start in history ever.

According to The Town Talk, LSU coach Paul Mainieri said, “We played errorless the entire weekend, we got three outstanding pitching performances from our starters, a lot of great at-bats. What not to like from the weekend?”

LSU scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning. Jacoby Jones hit a two-run homer and Alex Bregman delivered a two-run triple.

LSU will play Southern Tuesday night at Zephyr Field in Metairie and again Wednesday night in Alex Box. LSU will play No. 11 Arkansas (23-9, 8-4 SEC) Friday through Sunday in a three-game series.
