LSU Baseball Aims For Omaha In Super Regionals
The LSU Baseball Team is on a 14 game winning streak as they head into tonight's NCAA Super Regional opener against Mississippi State at Alex Box Stadium. The Tigers also hold an impressive streak of scoring 10-or-more runs in at least 7 of their last 14 games.
We found out yesterday that it will be Alex Lange on the mound to start Game 1 tonight for Coach Paul Maineri. Jared Poche will get the ball tomorrow night for Game 2, and if there's a need for Game 3 on Monday, it will be super-freshman Eric Walker taking the hill.
Mississippi State plans to counter tonight by throwing Sophomore left-hander Konnor Pilkington against the Tigers.
The Tigers are looking to do what they couldn't do last year against Coastal Carolina, and that's win at home to send them to Omaha.
Pre-game is set for 7:30pm, with a first pitch at 8pm, and can be heard across the Shreveport and Bossier area on 1130AM, KWKH.
