There will be a new "Voice of the Tigers" come baseball season next year. LSU had introduced the next Director of Radio Broadcasting and main play-by-play man for the Bayou Bengals. Meet Chris Blair, 40, the current voice for the Georgia Southern University Eagles and General Manager of Georgia Southern Sports Properties.

Blair will be replacing Jim Hawthorne who has been the Voice of the Tigers for more than three decades. Hawthorne was a former employee of KWKH well before becoming 1130 the Tiger. Jim was previously the Voice of the Centenary Gents before joining LSU, and broadcasted for Northwestern State in Natchitoches, of where his is an alum.

Jim will continue in his roll in Baton Rouge and broadcast through the 2015 Football season, and 2015-16 Men's Basketball season.

Chris Blair, before broadcasting for Georgia Southern, spent 10 years as the play by play announcer for prep-powerhouse Greenwood High in South Carolina.
