The LSU Tigers are back from a four-day break for Christmas and have gone back to practice.

LSU and Alabama will meet for the BCS National Championship in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Jan. 9, 2012.  Kickoff between the nation's top two ranked teams is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with KWKH 1130AM broadcasting the game.

 

The LSU Tigers are 13-0 overall and ranked No. 1 in the nation. One of LSU's wins was a 9-6 overtime victory against Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide is 11-1 overall and ranked No. 2 in the nation. This is the first time that LSU and Alabama have ever met in the postseason.

LSU is excited to be finishing the season in the Superdome in New Orleans. The Tigers have won national titles there in both 2003 and 2007. LSU goes into the Alabama game having won nine straight in domed stadiums and the Tigers are 24-6 all-time in domed venues.
