The rumors look to be true… FOX Sports and ESPN are reporting that LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis is leaving Baton Rouge and heading to College Station where he will be the new defensive coordinator for Texas A&M.

At A&M, Chavis will replace Mark Snyder who was let go at the end of the regular season.

In 2011, Chavis won the Broyles Award at LSU, honoring the nation’s top assistant coach. This season, Cahvis’ squad finished the season ranked 11th in the country in total defense.
