Jimmy Graham’s Twitter Page Used Against Him in Arbitration

Jimmy Graham's own Twitter bio may seal the deal against him in the NFLPA's case to have him regarded as a Wide Receiver.

Jimmy Graham’s arbitration hearing with the NFL began Tuesday in Metarie. Wednesday was scheduled to be the final day of the hearing.

On one side, the NFL players association seeks to have Graham’s tight end franchise tag switched to a wide receiver franchise tag. On the other side, the Saints and the NFL seek to confirm Graham’s status as a tight end.

One of the points made by the NFL, is that Graham listed himself as a tight end on his twitter page.

If the arbitrator rules that Graham should be franchised as a wide receiver, it would result in an additional five million dollars salary and the Saints would have to scramble to get back under the salary cap.
