This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Southwest Arkansas, Northwest Louisiana, Southeast Oklahoma, East Texas And Northeast Texas.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport tells us that the center of Tropical Storm Isaac is expected to move northward across remaining portions of North Central Louisiana this afternoon and into Southwest Arkansas by this evening.

Strong and gusty winds are expected as Isaac approaches with maximum sustained wind speeds 15 and 25 mph with higher gusts. Therefore...a lake wind advisory is in effect.

Rain bands from Isaac may lead to locally heavy rainfall at times across Southwest Arkansas, Southeast Oklahoma and East Texas.

Rainfall totals will generally be around 1 to 2 inches through the afternoon hours today. Heavy downpours may cause some brief isolated localized flooding. However, widespread flooding concerns are not anticipated.
