Hurricane Isaac has come and gone but there are still problems in Louisiana. Sometimes animals do not get evacuated. People might have been out of town or maybe the authorities wouldn't evacuate animals. Whatever the case may be, these animals are surely in need of care or evacuation.

The day after accepting the Republican Party's presidential nomination, Mitt Romney canceled an appearance Friday and came to Louisiana to see the flooded areas near New Orleans, acknowledging the damage caused by Hurricane Isaac.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Southwest Arkansas, Northwest Louisiana, Southeast Oklahoma, East Texas And Northeast Texas. The National Weather Service in Shreveport tells us that the center of Tropical Storm Isaac is expected to move northward across remaining portions of North Central Louisiana this afternoon and into Southwest Arkansas by this evening.

Rain from Isaac flooded outlying areas of New Orleans Thursday. Waters rose very fast and several buses and high-water vehicles were sent to help evacuate about 3,000 people.

Tropical Storm Isaac is beginning to weaken as it moves closer the the Shreveport-Bossier area.

With the threat of 6-10 inches of rain on Thursday from Hurricane Isaac, Shreveport and Bossier City officials are making preparations. The National Weather Service in Shreveport predicts possible high winds, tornadoes, and power outages that jeopardize the safety and security of students and staff.

The big question in Shreveport Bossier: What kind of weather can we expect from Hurricane Isaac? As Isaac tracks North we can expect 2-4 inches of rain in the Shreveport area over the next couple of days.  There are also two significant weather advisories that you should be aware of : a lake wind advisory and a flash flood watch.

As we follow the progression of Hurricane Isaac we have learned that at least 18 miles of levees in Plaquemines Parish have been over-topped by water. It is reported that there is 10-12 feet of flood waters in Plaquemines Parish. Isaac’s wrath is being felt in New Orleans this morning as well.

Hurricane Isaac made landfall in Plaquemines Parish in Louisiana located 90 miles southeast of New Orleans. Forecasters predict it will bring up to 20 inches of rain in some areas with the possibility of power outages. No evacuation order has been issued in New Orleans so many residents chose to stay...

The New Orleans Saints changed their practice and travel plans on Monday as Isaac heads for the gulf coast.  Monday practice and meetings were called off so players could make plans for their families.  Monday night, the Saints boarded a plane to Cincinnati, they practiced Tuesday afternoon at Paul Brown stadium before heading to Nashville for their final preseason game with the Titans on Thursday
