Tropical Storm Isaac is beginning to weaken as it moves closer the the Shreveport-Bossier area.
The storm has been moving northwest but now has shifted to a path heading more to the north. This is good new for Shreveport-Bossier because the weakest part of Isaac is the west side and that's where we are.

Even with that bit of good news, weather conditions will continue to become worse throughout the day as most of the ArkLaTex remains under a flash flood watch and as Isaac moves into the ArkLaTex.

As of 8:30 a.m. the storm was just northwest of Baton Rouge moving toward the ArkLaTex. Winds in our area are expected to be around 35 mph by 7:00 p.m. tonight.
