Herman Munster Is Coming To Geek’d Con In Shreveport

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is set to return August 19th-21st at the Shreveport Convention Center. The 2022 Geek'd Con will be the 7th show in Downtown Shreveport since 2015.

Geek'd Con is Shreveport's version of events like San Diego Comic Con or Dallas Fan Expo. It's a huge event to celebrate fandoms in the Ark-La-Tex. You will be able to shop from hundreds of vendor booths, participate in cosplay contests, win prizes, and hang out with friends.

You can meet stars like Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, Jamie Kennedy, Dog The Bounty Hunter, Clint Howard, Natasha Henstridge, and more.

Inside the event, you will find retail vendors, crafters, writers, artists, and celebrities representing fandoms from horror movies to anime, and everything in between. Not to mention the major comic book artists from Marvel, DC, and Scout Comics, who will be doing custom artwork that weekend.

There will also be a huge week-long set of events surrounding Geek'd Con as well.

One of the biggest parts of the event is the celebrity lineup. Celebrity guests from film, TV, and the internet will descend upon Shreveport to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. You can find more info on that process right here.

Now we have yet another celebrity to add to this impressive lineup. The new Herman Munster, Jeff Daniel Phillips...

Jeff Daniel Phillips will be joining Geek'd Con next month, just weeks before he debuts as Herman Munster in Rob Zombie's "The Munsters" movie.

In addition to The Munsters, Phillips is already a member of the MCU, playing Angar the Screamer in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D...but he also double-dipped in the Marvel world, because he played the mutant Fade in X-Men based show The Gifted (which might be in the MCU after the events of the latest Dr. Strange movie?).

Phillips also played Tenderloin in Westworld on HBO.

You've also caught him in a ton of Rob Zombie horror films as well. Like his role as Uncle Seymour Coffins in Halloween II, Whitey in Lords of Salem, the Warden in 3 From Hell, and Roscoe in 31.

Oh, and he's also the GEICO Caveman...and appeared as a main cast member in the show Cavemen based on the commercial character.
