Geek’d Con Nostalgia To Get You Fired Up About This Year’s Event
Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is rolling into year eight this August. The show started in 2015, and has grown into one of the premiere events in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Not only that, the show has been the largest consistently active comic con style show in the entire state of Louisiana.
This year's event is set up to be the biggest ever. The celebrity guest lineup includes Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, Natasha Henstridge, Clint Howard, Dog The Bounty Hunter, and many more.
There will also be a ton of comic book creators added to the lineup for 2022. Including the creator of X-Men member Rogue Michael Golden, Marvel's Zombie King Arthur Suydam, and Geek'd Con fan favorite Roland Paris, among others.
Geek'd Con is a mash-up of celebrity meet and greets, geeky shopping, cosplay, games, prizes, and fun.
That shopping is a big part of the event. With more than 200 vendor spaces that will be occupied during the weekend, there's going to be something for everyone. From comic books, to collectibles, action figures, posters, shirts, custom artwork, handcrafted goods, and so much more. Most of it will be very geeky too.
There is always a ton of cosplay at Geek'd Con too. Some of the best cosplay in the whole state will be seen at Geek'd Con. In fact, last year's Geek'd Con Cosplay Contest winner made it on stage with Captain America, Anthony Mackie, at an event in New Orleans.
It's probably better for us to SHOW you what Geek'd Con is like, instead of trying to describe it. Check out these pics from previous years at Geek'd Con:
