Four Children Removed From Shreveport Home After Testing Positive For Cocaine
Shreveport Police and the Department of Children and Family Services removed four children from a Shreveport home after the children tested positive for "high levels" of cocaine.
Investigators were called to the intersection of Hollywood Ave and West Canal Blvd back in July when two young children were found wondering. At that point, police began questioning the children's guardian, Clydetra Thomas at the children's home on Antioch street. She was arrested at that time on charges of Child Desertion.
After the Department of Children and Family Services continued to assist the family, they contacted the police on September 17th after the four children texted positive for high levels of cocaine. The police initiated an investigation that has led to Thomas' arrest on four counts of Cruelty of a Juvenile.
Thomas was taken into custody yesterday and booked into the Shreveport City Jail. The Police have stated these were "no bond" warrants.
