Radio and TV legend Larry King has passed away, according to multiple sources, including his own verified social media accounts. King was 87-years-old.

King was a giant of broadcasting for decades. Generally recognized as one of the greatest interviewers of all time, he build a career that lasted more than 6 decades.

Before he ever embarked on his career defining position at CNN as the host of "Larry King Live", King found a home in Shreveport, Louisiana.

During his time in Shreveport, King worked multiple jobs. He was a freelance writer, worked Public Relations for Louisiana Downs, and was the radio broadcaster for the Shreveport Steamer football team. All of this taking place between 1971 and 1975.

After leaving Shreveport, King was able to find nationwide success, leading up to his groundbreaking stint with CNN. His show "Larry King Live" started in 1985, and didn't leave the CNN network until 2010. It was one of the most influential interview shows in American history.

King continued to work after his time at CNN, wearing his trademark suspenders as often as possible.
