Defensive End Tyson Jackson is the second Kansas City Chief and former LSU stud to get a new contract in the last week. Unfortunately for Tyson, he won't be getting more money like Dwayne Bowe did... he'll be getting less!

For Jackson, it was either take a pay cut or be cut.  Jackson, the third overall draft pick in 2009, was due over $14 million next season.  He has restructured to take about a $10 million decrease in salary.

Many NFL players have been restructuring deals to help relieve space under the salary cap.  Many of those deals just converted money into bonuses and spread guaranteed money into future years.  For Jackson, he lost money in the deal.

Jackson hasn't met expectations in his career, never making a pro-bowl.  He'll be a free agent after next season.
